Anchor Charts

The purpose of an anchor chart is to summarize important information from a lesson or unit and to give students a quick reference point.  Anchor charts do not need to be cute or colorful! I often share cute and colorful anchor charts simply because I love making them (it’s an excuse to color!) and because I like to have attractive examples to share on my blog. Never feel pressured to make your anchor charts overly decorative, but instead focus on the message and how you can most clearly summarize their learning.
