A few years ago, a wonderfully creative and thoughtful friend/co-worker gave me a little box of goodies just before school started. At first glance, I thought the little supply box filled with gum, deodorant, a nail file, and other travel-sized goodies, was simply a cute little gift. A week later, I realized she was a LIFE SAVER! There I was on “Back to School Night” with a headache, a hangnail, and feeling less than fresh. Supply box to the rescue!
This year, I was thinking I’d like to do the same for my teacher friends. I didn’t have extra school supply boxes around, but I did find my pile of empty Birchboxes. Perfect! So I simply transformed the Birchbox into the “Back to School” Box!
STEP 1: GATHER THE SUPPLIES!
STEP 2: SORT THE SUPPLIES!
STEP 3: PACK INTO BOXES!
Obviously, these boxes were made with women in mind… But drop the Kotex and hair ties, and I think a male teacher would appreciate the rest!
MY LIST OF ESSENTIALS:
I’d love to hear what other essentials you’d like in your teacher survival kit. And wine isn’t an option!
Also, if you haven’t heard of Birchbox, you should totally check it out. For $10 a month, the company mails you a cute little box of girlie stuff. It’s like a present in the mail every month!

What a great idea! I am going to put some together for my kids teachers this year!
Thanks! I just made a bunch for my teacher friends and I’m hoping they like the boxes as much as I did! 🙂
Such a great idea. It looks so professional!
I love this idea and would love to get one! 🙂 I think any teacher (female 🙂 ) would appreciate the contents. Very thoughtful.
This is such a clever and thoughtful idea! I’m almost certain that I wouldn’t be able to pack it that neatly though.I’m sure there’s a commercial market for these 😉
love this ideaI had to go to the nurse one morning and ask for the preteen pack she hands out on “the MOVIE” day… I had left the house without putting deodorant on… ahhhh… all day long I smelled like teen spirit… yay… this is a fabulous idea
Fun idea! I also keep a pair of nylons at school, since inevitably, I get a run on the day I have to meet a parent.
